

Call for Abstracts for Poster Presentation
Do you, your firm or organization have innovative insight, new applicable research, practical solutions or current best practice relating to the program theme from which others could benefit? Here’s an opportunity to share your knowledge, expertise and insight with others in support of the conference theme “Assisted Living Above the 49th Parallel.”
The GSS 2008 Conference Planning Committee is calling for abstracts of posters presentations on (but not limited to), the following topics:
Note: Poster boards may be research oriented or used as an opportunity to share your experience in assisted living in a storyboard format
- Managed Risk
- Shared Responsibility
- Independence & Autonomy
- Activation/Wellness
- Evidenced Based Design
- Technology
- Storyboards (showcase what you’re doing in poster form)
A Poster Selection Committee will determine which abstracts will be accepted to be showcased at the conference on poster boards Friday, October 8th, 2008. The conference delegates will visit and network throughout the poster area during coffee breaks and the luncheon buffet.
- Poster presenters will be required to be in attendance to showcase their information on a poster board measuring 4’x7’9” during the coffee break as well as the luncheon buffet
- Prospective authors should prepare an abstract of their poster to be submitted electronically to the conference secretariat.
- Authors should include the title, authors name, affiliation, email address, phone, fax and the name of the contact author. The submission should also identify the intended presenter.

Submitting Your Abstract for Poster
- You may submit as many abstracts as you wish.
- The Good Samaritan Society prohibits the use of abstracts to market products or services.
- Abstracts must be between 400 and 600 words.
- Abstracts must be submitted in English. Please submit electronically. The body of the abstract may be typed directly into the online submission form, and/or formatted in MSWord or PDF format.
